Guess I better update.........

Been a few days since I've came back to this.
How ya been?
I've been a little busy with work and all but, in all consideration,
life is grand:-)

I've met a few people in my life and I gotta tell ya, nothin tickles me more than have the opportunity to be able to catch up with the ones that I've met in my earlier years!!

With that being said, I've have another grateful opportunity to go on another lunch date with a friend of mine that I haven't been actually able to see in the last few years.
Occasionally, we've been able to keep in contact with each other through blackberries and internet but, to actually get a chance to see each other and spend a little time together has got us both excited today:-)

Was you able to catch American Idol last night???
A lot of great music legends on the show!!
From Joe Cocker, Bret Michaels, Janet Jackson, Alanis Morissette, Chicago,
and even Paula Abdul, the show was outstanding!!

Have you seen it yet?.........

I've been patiently waiting for the new releases to come out on the RedBox.
Low and behold, Avatar was one of the many few.

I highly recommend that you rent it, buy it, so on, and so on.

You'll be glad you did!!!

Even if you don't like the story line, you'll be glad to see the special effects!!

Been away for a while.........

As you can tell, I've been away for a while but, never fear,
I will return one day or the other.

Got a few things I'd like to share with ya........

Here's some pic's of one of the storms that moved in on me.

That's hail that your seeing on the ground.


It rained so hard that the water was overflowing in the gutter.

Notice the steam coming off the trees???

After the storm rolled through the steam off the trees carried a very distinctive smell of.........

Cedar :-P


I've made it through the tornado warnings, hail, and yes, I'll have to admit, I was a little bit computer-less during the last week or so.

All went well though.
I was able to catch up on a few good movies










If you haven't seen any of these, I recommend that you go to your nearest RedBox near you!!!

Last but not least.....

Here is a new way to look at a deck of cards!!

Deck of Cards


It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't been heard.

The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week.
As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk.

Just then an army sergeant came in and said, 'Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?'
The soldier replied, 'I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord.'

The sergeant said, 'Looks to me like you're going to play cards.'
The soldier said, 'No, sir .. You see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country,

I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards.'
The sergeant asked in disbelief, 'How will you do that?'


'You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds me that there is only one God.

The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments

The Three represents the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John .

The Five is for the five virgins there were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.

The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives -- the eight people God spared from the flood that destroyed the Earth.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year.

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week - 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards -- there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for.'

The sergeant just stood there. After a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, 'Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?'

Well, that about does it for right now.

Yesterday was national prayer day.
Although, you should really treat everyday as prayer day.....


The National Day of Prayer was first signed into law in 1952. A federal judge recently challenged the law calling it unconstitutional. That's why some say a recent survey by LifeWay Christian Resources is cause for Christians to be concerned.

Millions across America observed the National Day of Prayer, and many of those were here in western Arkansas where at least 17 events were held in our area. While the National Day of Prayer is not exclusive of other religions, it does embrace Judeo-Christian beliefs specifically. Prayer is important to those who gathered Thursday, numbers show they may not be having impact on young people as they had hoped.

This is the 68th year for the National Day of Prayer.

Good Morning!!
I really hadn't had the chance to actually sit here and update for the last few days.
As you can tell.

Ever wake up with a song in your head?
I do every morning.
It's like I got a radio chip stuck up there and when I open my eyes and start moving around, that's when it kicks it.
I recently had this one stuck up there for the last few days.

Hope you guys have been doing well.
Notice how nice the weather is?
I love the Vitamin D orb!!!

Movies are getting better with their action packs, special affects, and whatnot's.
Robin Hood, Nightmare on Elm, Avatar, and so on, and so on.
What I really want to see is............

You guessed it!!!
I just knew that one of these days this would be a movie!!

Ever played the video game??

I have!!
Keener, keener.

Did you know that to get into a movie theater now-a-days costs you.....
a whopping $10.50!!!
Not to mention the popcorn, drinks, and junior mints.

Yea, I'm gonna wait.

The video game lives up to it's special effects,
seeing how we are in the year of 2010 and all,
I can only imagine what the movie will bring.

I say "bring it!!"

If it doesn't, I'm gonna be disappointed.....
Wasting a dollar on the redbox.:-P

I had the chance to get myself a MP3 player!!!
I've always wanted one when they started coming out.
Never could get my hands on one of them though.

Man, I'm excited about it.
I can download up to 2,000 songs on it and take them off there when I get a feel for something new.
Blah, blah, blah.......

I've been using it the last couple of days to fall asleep to.
Finally, was able to put on Enya on it like I've been wanting to also.



Well, the more I sit here, the day will go on and on.....

So, with that being said, I'm gonna hop of here and get my day started.
